Mostly the same route as the last time but added more twisties and took out more highway!

ill create a map later but for now the route goes like this:

- Meeting spot: PALISADES MALL infront of lord and taylor in west nyack, ny
- Ride thru Harriman rt 106> rt17a to greenwood lakes> BREAK/REST/GAS
- BACK DOWN rt17a & rt106> bypass BEAR mtn> down to rt 202>BREAK/REST
- RIDE UP TO WEST POINT> LUNCH
- CROSS OVER THE BEAR MTN BRIDGE ($1.50)>COLD SPRING, NY
- RIDE TO CARMEL, NY> BREAK/REST/GAS
- RIDE TO PUTNAM VALLEY> RT202> BEAR MTN Perkin's memorial drive(end)

Im hoping more people will go for the saturday bc a ton of bicyclists come in flocks on sunday.

Also if the weather has a 40% chance of rain the ride is automatically POSTPONED! i'm not taking any chances plus it sucks to ride in the rain/cold weather. I will ride the whole route a day or two b4 the actual day of to clear debris and make sure everything is okay

U coming?:D

I'm in as long as I'm not oncall but I'll see if someone can cover my call. As for the last ride of the season, no such thing for some of us.
I got myself a nice fall/winter riding jacket and I'm in the market for battery heated gloves.

I have a reunion that evening but I will try to get in on at least part of the ride. I can always bail early.

Count me in but I prefer Sunday the 14th.

And also you guys end your season in mid October?

I keep riding until the first North Eastern Snow storm is about to come.

Once snow clears I resume my season, lol.

PS- I will bring my father too.

EDIT:

My father can't go.

So now it's just me.

Good man! I too ride as long as there's no snow/ice directly on the road :D

Wish I could join you all for this one :(

Just looked at the map.. nearly identical to the route wife and I rode a week ago (except for the extra bits where we got lost LOL). Very fun roads!

I'm sure you know this, Anthony, but route 9 is pretty damn good too (instead of turning left on 301, if you just stay straight) and there's good BBQ place very close by (doesn't look like much, but food is good): https://maps.google.com/maps?q=41.4...3.914814&spn=0.006524,0.009645&num=1&t=m&z=17

YES!

Route 9 is great!

But you are very prone to see deer on the side of the road.
