Hi, after doing the tps test. I never got the correct reading after dlag.

Would anyone know why? The only other symbol I got was Co.

Also does anyone know where online I can get a free vin number check to see if my 04 model went in for tps recall.

Sorry for repost and thanks in advance.

When you get into diagnostic mode, you first have 2 options. The Co and another one i think d1. While you see it you need to get in so you access the tps test. Dont really remember exact buttons but try both at the same time, only reset and only select for a few seconds .

I'll play around tomorrow then. Thank you very much. My idle speed jumps from about 1180 to 1260.
Is this normal or should it stay on the same number?

Probably a silly question I know.:D

Any Yamaha dealer can tell you if the TPS was swapped out. Get it done anyway.
The idle speed will jump a little but it should remain fairly constant and smooth with no lumpy running. A throttle body sync may be in order if you haven't had it done.
There is a brilliant how to make your own Manometer and synch.

Please post up with what you find.
