Top Sellerie mishap!

They always answer me quickly. It's just never what I want to hear. ;) I am TRYING to be nice about this because I absolutely want the new seat!

They are not refunding the CC until they physically have the seats. So, I told them that they charging my CC for the seats concludes the initial order (even though it will be refunded when they do have the seats), thus there is no reason to delay my second order and I am requesting that be filled immediately. This is the one time they have NOT immediately responded to my e-mail (sent yesterday AM) and I've not heard a word today either.

Regarding the rips in these seats though? When I got my FZ6 seat, the seat had an extra layer of seat material that was sewn as a pouch and held on the two front corners and one larger pouch on the rear of the seat that I had to remove the staples and materials before installing the seat. Did either of your seats have this on the ends as well? Just curious.... :D

If I decide to change my seat I think Spencers will be my choice. A lot less expensive and in this country. He uses the existing seatpan and cover but re-foams the saddle. Typically less than $100 for the job.

Thanks for the info on the Spencer modification. Please let us know if you decide to get yours done, and how you like it.

I think that I am seeing a pattern with companies that export and do a lot of shipping. Follow me for a second.....the US postal service is much cheaper than FedEx or UPS. However, the USPS has a size limitation on the packages. I have noticed that the shipping container was just a little bigger than the seat with loose foam packed around it and the seat was wrapped in a cardboard paper. Honestly, not very protected, but much cheaper than using a larger container with more protective packaging material and using another carrier. This may be IMHO what is going on in this case, but just a guess on my part. I just shipped the seat back and it cost me $63.50 and 45 minutes of my time at the post office going through the aggravation of figuring out how to ship it back. I will continue to document my experience for the benefit of anyone else who is considering this company. They have gotten back to me in a reasonable period of time so far.

Are they going to reimburse you the shipping?

I did not see any on mine. Hope they resolve your situation soon, too. :(

In the spirit of documenting....I still have not received a reply to the reimbursement question.:stupidpc:

After they sent me a used seat pan(I paid for a new one), they apologized and said I could ship it back and they would gladly fix it. The catch was I had to pay the shipping. Needles to say I said screw it.

J Man, follow the above thread (broken seat), then send a message to the Top Sellerie guy that actually took care of the previous mishap. I bet you just haven't gotten in touch with the person that will actually take care of this, and he/she looks like the one to do it!! Good luck!

Yeah, that thread is what made up my mind to go with them for a seat. Thanks....if I do not hear from them soon, I just may try that.

Update on my mishap:

TS finally received my original seats and refunded my CC the money they took becuase the shipment was late. Today, I got an e-mail telling me so along with a promise that the new seats will ship tomorrow.

Here's a new twist! When I ordered this second set, they charged my card THAT day and this automatically triggers the 45 day period before my original seats need to be sent (Now due Oct. 15th!). I have sent two requests that this "timer" be reset but they've yet to confirm this will be the case. That payment is automatically scheduled when the order is placed. Of course MY argument is that my order wasn't filled until today and the 45 days should begin from this point forward.

I've got this timeline and details documented so that should they charge my card, I'll have the CC company reverse it ASAP. It stinks that this is outside of the U.S. and they don't have to play by our rules.

That's BS man! After my bad dealings with them I have held my tongue on TS seat threads. They have piss poor customer service if you ask me. I love the seat, but not the company.

I'd call my CC company and start the charge back process.

We'll definitely plan something one of the next few weekends.

It is a bummer about the seat. but I still plan on trying my luck.... soon. (Oh the countless mods I plan on eventually doing, yet $8 grip puppies are the only one I've actually done.)

Seriously? After they found they other thread (seemingly) out of the blue I'm shocked that this one has gone un-commented upon.

TS, tell us your fixing this, and quick!

Well, just looked up the USPS tracking number today.....:shakehead:
Sigh, it just yesterday left the USofA from New Jersey (not like that is very far from Virginia!) and I shipped it on 9-22-2009! It may be a while before this is made right.

BTW - still no response to reimbursement question.

Don't be so sure that the parcel isn't further along than what USPS shows. USPS is known to have the most out of date, undependable tracking information available. Seriously, most times that I utilize USPS for shipping and get a tracking number, it will only be updated once after pickup, and then once after delivery. Sometimes, it doesn't even get marked as delivered, even when I've already received the items days ago....

Regarding the USPS, when I shipped my seats to France, the lady at the counter told me that once the box hits customs, it is no longer trackable. I sent my seats on Aug 28th and they got them in France on Sept 25th.

I now have confirmation that my new seats are on the way. They also replied to my message about being charged on the 15th of Oct and said they would contact the payment center to halt the debit from my card. I'm just waiting to see if the 15th comes and I'm charged. By that time, I will have a confirmation that the stock seats are once again on the way to France though. I *should* have the 2nd set of TS seats early next week.

I would just give them a call and send them a E-Mail of the tear and have them send you a return U.P.S sticker to ship it back to them and send you a new one OR just get a tube of black silcone and patch the seat yourself.
