Top Sellerie mishap!

Regarding the USPS, when I shipped my seats to France, the lady at the counter told me that once the box hits customs, it is no longer trackable. I sent my seats on Aug 28th and they got them in France on Sept 25th.

I now have confirmation that my new seats are on the way. They also replied to my message about being charged on the 15th of Oct and said they would contact the payment center to halt the debit from my card. I'm just waiting to see if the 15th comes and I'm charged. By that time, I will have a confirmation that the stock seats are once again on the way to France though. I *should* have the 2nd set of TS seats early next week.

That is at least some good news. I feel like there may be some light at the end of this tunnel.

I would just give them a call and send them a E-Mail of the tear and have them send you a return U.P.S sticker to ship it back to them and send you a new one OR just get a tube of black silcone and patch the seat yourself.

Doc

I understand what you are saying, but after dropping an insane amount of money for a custom made seat - I just don't feel that it is unreasonable to have a tear free seat rather than having to try and "patch" it. Call me crazy.;)

Finally! I got the new custom-ordered seats in! :steve: and they are AWESOME! Well, this set came with all corners/edges covered with the extra stapled-on pockets of material I described before.

They also were not kidding about needing MY original seats back because I marked the pans I sent and I now have my original pans BACK on the bike with the custom TS foam and covering.

So, tomorrow I am shipping the NEXT set of orignals back to them and be done with it. I still have not received confirmation that they moved the debit date for the return of these seats forward to compensate for the lost time as they dragged their collective feet.

I'll post some new pics when I have time to take them. I'm super busy with both work and home projects. Whew!

Some of my friends think I have bad luck (or Karma). Almost ever thing I buy these days is defective. Now, there was a time when I would let it pass, but that time was long ago.

Nowadays I strike back at defective workmanship, faulty products and design failure. I strike back so hard it sometimes costs me a day in court. Bear in mind I always give praise when a product or service exceeds my expectations, like a paintshop that fixed my girlfriends 4WD the other day.

Yes, I get things that are ripped, or rip in no time at all. Like a $400 wet weather jacket that frayed in 2 weeks from a design failure. The dealer didn't want to send it back, but the manufacturer was very interested and I got a newer more expensive jacket in return for a few emails and a threat.
Yes a threat.
Court.
As I said to the salesman. 'I won't argue with you.' Infact, I won't argue with anyone unless there is a judge present. I feel this always gets a fairer result for the consumer in these days of shoody manufacture.

One of the only things I have purchased recently that wasn't shoddy and exceeded my expectations was my Yamaha FZ6S Fazer.

And I thank Yamaha for that.

My advice. Don't let faulty equipment suppliers get away with anything.

Cheers.

It is a shame that things have come to having to do things like that in greater and greater percentages. I know people abuse the system, but rather than punish everyone - why not just.....oh I don't know....punish THOSE people. Rant off.:D

Just got a USPS note on my door today for a package from France. Will pick it up soon and find out if this one is in good condition. Never received a response on shipping reimbursement, still. :banghead:If they aren't going to, the least they could do is communicate that to the customer.

Justin, I had to pester the crap out of them, almost daily e-mails! Send them to [email protected] (Aurélien) and repeat until they answer you. It was typically 4 to 5 tries and I'd get an answer. Sorry you have to go through this too!

First of all, :banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead: And secondly, :banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead:

This is what I opened up today:

I was going to get a TS seat... not anymore. Wow... that company just cant get it right it seems. Corbin it is...

I was heading towards a TS seat too. Now, not so sure.

What did the box look like? Any chance the shipper did that?

The box did not look as bad as the first one. I would like to think it was shipping. If TS knowingly sent a seat out like this, then they have some serious problems. However, as stated before, the USPS is about the cheapest way to ship - but has size limitations on the shipping box dimensions. There is not enough room inside for adequate packing, IMHO. I sent yet another email with these same pictures. Will be posting the results for all to see.

Are you kidding??? Holy CRAP! That royally sucks!

Ok... what did you do to pi$$ off the postman? ;)

Sorry to see this Justin. Seems they've diminished... do you still have a stock seat? I would unstaple the TS cover and take it and the foam over to the stock pan and staple it on!

Yeah, I don't know what I'm going to do with this situation. Feeling quite disgusted by the whole thing.

Christ! I just bid on one of these from somebody? here on E-bay. Break out the JB-Weld!!! It'll fix most of these problems.

Shouldn't need to repair a brand new item though. There is no way I would accept damaged goods when paying top dollar. At the very least if I went into a store and a seat had a tear I'd expect a very good discount, probably at least 25% off.
Same applies for buying this kind of product. A good seller would ensure their transport and packaging options didn't damage the product. It just reeks of uncaring and bad customer service when they seem to assume they can do this in the hopes most people will not bother going back to them.
If everyone who had had it happen had sent them back till they got a good one this would 100% not be happening.

Hopefully your seller will pack it better. No offense, but for the kind of money I dropped on this seat - there is no way I'm JB-Welding anything. I am beginning to wonder if maybe these seats are too fragile? I've seen a similar crack on another thread on this forum: http://www.600riders.com/forum/fz6-general-discussion/19419-broken-top-saddlery-seat.html

wow. wow. i'm speechless. i have a TS seat and love it. i'm glad things worked out for me. if i would have seen this thread i wouldn't have gone with them. you shouldn't have to go through this. but if you get it resolved you will have a nice seat. they are quite comfy. good luck. this is so bad. when you email them you should point them to this thread. their reputation isn't soaring all that high on this forum recently with a few big mishaps and their lack of care and willingness to get the things fixed in a timely manner and look out for their customers.

wow. good luck.
