OK folks, regardless of where you choose to call home or where you choose to ride/drive there are constant reminders of what not to do when it comes to either. I thought it might be interesting if we shared our experiences relative to those crazy outrageous things we have observed others in the fearless public do.

We have had ice around here lately and while waiting for traffic due to an accident ahead I was sitting in my cage following 4 young men in an older 4 door Buick. We had been waiting to move for a while and when things began moving a bit the driver of this cage thought he would have some fun and did a burnout on the ice patch. Big problem, the tires hooked up when the cage hit some better asphalt and he lost control launching the car off the road and right through a 6' brick wall on the entry to this guys property. Nobody got hurt with the exception of the cage. At that point I could have cared less how long I waited because I was LMFAO........

Anybody else seen some mentally challenged folks out there?

The other day while going to work, the roads are icy, mainly due to the lack of salt the municipalities have on hand. I was just getting in to town and some guy flies by me in an Explorer, I just wonder what his hurry is. Well there is a pretty sharp left bend in the road 500 yards in front of me. He suddenly starts a four wheel drift towards the curb, launches his vehicle over the curb and lands in a front yard. I am giggling like a school girl at the fact that I just witnessed this. As I go by, his left front tire is displaying way too much negative camber,as I wonder what his repair bill is going to be, I wave at him as I go by at 22 mph (speed limit is 30). This made my day, there is a price for stupidity. I have no idea how fast he was going, maybe 45 mph, but he went over the curb, through the snow bank, and stopped may be 300 feet from where he left the road, and I did not see brake lights until he hit the curb. I'm just glad he was in the right most lane, that way no one else got involved.

I was on my way home the other day, and one of those fart can honda,s was doing about 90mph through traffic. Well he had those little pins holding his hood down and I guess they worked there way out and his hood flew open and he went spinning and hit the wall on the shoulder. He got out of the car and was walking around like wtf. He was ok the car was done (one less fart can on the road). But I could'nt help but bust up laughing. I still laugh about it now.

there is something about being a motorist that makes someone think that they are invincible. twats

A few winters ago my buddy was driving up the interstate, following a pickup with two trailered snowmobiles in tow. One of the sleds was coming loose, and hanging off the end of the trailer.
My buddy passed him, and waved at the guy, trying to point backwards that he was about to lose his sled. Driver of the pickup just flipped him off!
My buddy pulled on ahead, kept an eye on his rear view mirror, and sure enough within half a mile he saw the snowmobile tumbling down the interstate, parts everywhere, and the truck driver immediately pulled over.
My buddy was mature enough not to back track and laugh at him; I don't know that I would've been! :D

Dang, can you imagine being on a bike behind that mess? Lucky for your buddy he was smart enough to get the heck out of there....

One night we were driving home around 11pm in the F-150, we're in the fast lane as this car comes up and decides to match speeds with us at about 80 mph. All of a sudden his front, driver's side tire, blows and some rubber flys up and hits the windshield on the truck, we slow down to 70mph and go into the shoulder.....the guy tries not to hit us and countersteers (a bit too much) and he does a complete 180 and he is now backwards on the freeway doing 70 mph, he veers across the other lanes right down a bank and slams into a tree.

We didn't stop, but I did call 911.

Did they hit the tree going forward or backward J?

About 30 years ago when I was working for Chevrolet I used to ride into LA with a guy who lived on a long side street. Down the street from him was a man who lived in a home with an attached garage. The plan for the home had a curved (right) drive that went to the garage. Unfortunately the home was at the end of another side street that had a bar on the opposite end about 1/2 mile away. So, if you were coming from the bar toward this house you would either stop for the sign and turn right or left, or you could go straight thus jumping the curb and running smack into the garage.

The drunk running into the garage actually happened twice and the home owner had enough. He filed suit against the city who later put a barrier with phone poles and big planks out on the easement by the street. Sure enough a few months later some drunk ran that stop, went across the street and BAM!!!! came to a halt. All it did to the barriers was scuff up the paint. The cage got totaled. After rebuilding the garage twice before, the owner was now a very happy camper.

this thread reminds me off a time when I did a little prerunning with an S-10 I used to have, the only problem was I had my CR250 in the bed. at first it was OK I was just moshing down a sand wash. I pitched the truck sideways and hit a few whoops only to hear a load bang on the back of the cab, I looked in the right side view mirror to see my CR hanging out the side of the bed. as I stopped and got out just as Poorwboy pulls up in his truck and says "WTF were you thinking?" my answer was "apparently nothing" we had a good laugh as he helped me lift my bike out of the truck. the whole bedside was smashed and there was a huge dent about the size of a baseball above the back window. BUT the bike was OK!!!:D

Now that was funny..... I'm glad to hear the bike made it....

I was catching a ride back from Parker Strip (Colorado River) across Rice road a few years back and the guy that was driving the F-150 was cruising along about 80mph. We went through the woops and a bit after he decides to launch his cup of ice out the window. One problem, he forgot to roll the window down and we had ice and watered down Coke all over the place.

Walking briskly through a narrow hallway I notice a motorized wheelchair rapidly closing distance head-on. Using my fast judo reflexes I veer off to the left of the hallway, nearly being hit by a faster electric wheelchair trying to pass me. The last thing I remember was the intense and focused gaze of the wheelchair bound person, it’s as if they were out for a kill!:surrender:

Idiot

I followed an 07 R1 to work yesterday, it was all nicely modded with LCD lights, fender eliminator, Scorpion pipes ect. As I got close to him I could hear his chain and sprockets crunching. When we stopped at some lights I asked him if he was aware of the problem? He gave me the finger, what a twatting wanker.
All that money spent on looking good and no care for basic maintainence.

ps I gave him the finger back and shot away from the lights, by the time he had gained traction I was at work.

Last month, I was riding back home from work around 1 am, in which I was stopped at a red light. I then heard a whoop whoop and emergency lights which was coming from a Metro cruiser (our local police) that was approaching from my right, making a right hand turn. The cop took the turn way too fast, out of control and screeched sideways sliding into the left hand turn lane on the street that it was turning onto. The cop then overcorrected the cruiser and fish tailed it to the right, then left, then right again until it came to a complete stop, amazingly pointing in the right direction. I thought the cop was going to roll the damn thing. It then peeled out and took off like a bat out of hell. If there was anyone making a left hand turn at the time, they would have been wiped out. When the light turned green for me, I decided to give my bike full throttle and I caught up to the cruiser in about six seconds. The cop ended up making a turn a mile down the road while I continued to go straight.

Man, that's crazy for sure. Just because he was running code 3 (lights and siren) is no excuse for being unsafe. To bad you couldn't figure out what he/she was up to.
