Well yesterday I installed my S/H and 15t front sprocket.WOW what a difference.
Like others have said"Best bang for buck mod there is "

A few pics of the install.

First, the unit itself.I was surprised at how small it is.

Once you raise the tank the plugs you need to find are on the clutch side under a rubber boot. The 3 pole one on the right in this pic.

Pull the plug apart and plug in the S/H harness like this.

Route the cables to the underseat storage and mount with the double sided tape provided.

Plug in the top speed recall button and mount where you want(I have not mounted it yet.
Then program as per instructions that came with the S/H.Takes all of 30 secs.

Then onto the sprocket.First loosen the rear wheel and push it forward.
Remove the 3 bolts holding the cover on,I left the gear lever rod in place without any probs.
Its a good idea to clean the cover at this point.

Then push back the tabs on the washer ,select first gear and get someone to stand on the rear brake(7yo up and coming footballers are good at this ;) )
and remove the nut holding the sprocket on.
picture.php

Slide the sprocket off with the chain still attached then remove the sprocket.
Put the chain on the new sprocket and slide back on the shaft.Replace nut and tighten ,same as before, get someone to stand on the rear brake.
Bend back the washer tabs and replace cover.
Adjust chain slack and tighten rear wheel and your good to go.

Go for a test ride and enjoy the new mod :D

1.5 hours and all done, all in all very happy with it ,should have done it years ago.
One word of warning, watch out for pinching your hand and ending up like this

Thanks for the writeup and pics Mick! Did the 15T install but haven't done the speedohealer yet. Good to hear that it's so simple. Think I'll order one today.

Good work, I thought this is a awsome mod too, until I put a +2 on the rear. Give it a try, now that you have a S/H. Now the bike moves. They should have done this at the factory, but then I guess we wouldn't have as much fun modding, right.

So where did you mount the TSM button? ;)

It's under the seat at the moment mate, haven't found a spot I like yet.

EDIT:Found one thing about the mod on the way to work this morning,if you have a gear indicator make sure you reprogram it BEFORE you go for a ride :banghead:

I had mine mounted at the front of the frame where the wires come through on the right side. It's such a small switch it's easy to hide.

Hey mate, have you checked your speedo of against a gps? I went of the calculations the gearing calcs they give you first and it was still a little out.
