My 06 speedo backlight is no longer illuminating. I'm having a hard time figuring out where it gets it's power from. I think it's just a loose wire because when I first noticed it I was under hard acceleration and the backlight was kind of flickering like the connection was vibrating. I haven't even been able to get it to flicker since then.

Any suggestions?

Is this on a naked mod? If so then it's because of vibration. Ducksridingbikes on the SBN forum had the same issue. The wires INSIDE the gauge come loose.

If it's not permanently ruined, then try to add some damping and rubber bushings to the mounts.

Yes, this is on my naked bike. Looks like I get to try and get the housing apart or by a different kind of guage. The backlight doesn't come on at all now.
