Hi to all I'm new to this forum and to my Brand New 2006 FZ6. I just switched from Honda and love it, although I have just 12 miles on it, it feels good :D. Now my question is about saddle bags. I bought Cortech bags, these are not the hard bags but material. Very nice bags I must add, but I am worried about the underseat exshaust getting too hot and damaging the bags. They do have some mouse pad like material on that side, but I think that's just not to scratch the paint. Any help would be great. Thank you very much.

no worries man.
I have used mine for lots and lots of miles. no problems. Even with the straps under the seat.

What they said....

No worries. Keep in mind that with the stock exhaust what you see is a plastic cover over the actual exhaust. (It may be "fake" but damn I love that look!)

Even with the straps under the seat.
Thanks for the great idea! I am going to try the underseat method this weekend!

It wont fit under the corbin seat but they fit great under my stock and yama comfort seat.

I couldn;t get my straps to go under the seat ands then clip the seat down, maybe the cortechs can, but the techniks can't

I have that bag and you will not have any problems at all. Think about it, if your bag straps have a problem, then your seat pan is really in trouble. You're good to go.

Oh, welcome to the site and the FZ6 world.

Yes I had Cargo Basic brand saddle bags that the straps went under the seat. I have the same tecknic bags you linked now and they wont.

 the plastic cover keeps the bags pretty cool from the exhausts heat. I have no problems with mine either.
