I'm trying to see if I can install these clip-ons on my 2009 FZ6N, but I need to remove the triple tree clamp. I've removed the big nut and two pinch bolts on the sides, but it doesn't seem to wanna budge. Tried some light tapping with a rubber mallet from below too. Have I missed something?

Or leave it alone and just drop a fork at a time and install clamp.

The springs are so soft you could easily collapse one at at time or loosen them both and wiggle them down...

If they dont move. You might inspect the stanchion for nicks and bends. Binding from bent parts is bad sign tho!

Hindsight - did you unlock the steering with the key?
If not, it wont lift up!
