Cruising through my beautiful country, with my girl on the back, I crossed through a 1 mile off-road part.
10 miles after, I realised The rear tire was low on pressure...
I put 2 (rubbers patches) in 2 big holes I found.
150 miles afte i got home.

Next day while washing my beautiful, I counted about 35 very small cuts...
On the Michelin Pilot Power rear tire.
It looses about 3 or 4 psi over night.

I cannot put rubber patches because I will deform the tire...

I was thinking on throwing in the tire some of those "liquid tire fixing flats"

fix a flat is not for motorcycles..

Any ideas?

If you found two big holes, and have more, that are too small to patch..... replace the tire. Chances are too high that damage to the body of the tire has happened. Sorry to say that; but I would not trust that tire due to the damage. No idea of why the tire is so damaged.... there had to be a lot of junk in the road, broken glass, nails, scrap metal, wire..... look very carefully at your front tire, as well!

if any of the cuts damaged any of the cords inside the tire it could cause catastrofic faliure at any point. where did all the damage come from? I would not trust it, and i am very trusting of tires with plugs and patches, but 35 gets a bit excessive...

cruising around Colombia on an FZ6 with your gal along for the ride,
I'm envious my friend, sounds like a great trip, certainly worth a rear tire

Also...Please check the front tire! If the rear sustained that much damage, I can't imagine the front tire has no cuts! Check your front tire!! Maybe get dual purpose tires?

The holes happened because the tire was very hot when I entered a piece of damaged road.... The tire looses very small amount of pressure from one day to another..... The tiny really tiny holes did not affect the steel thread of the tire...
The front tire which has 1 or 2 thousand miles left, holds air perfectly..

You've heard the expression..Only as strong as the weakest link...Now you have many weak links. Replace the tire.

I agree With Reiobard, a single plug or patch in the right area is fine.

1.) The fact that you loose pressure regularly is also an indication of further issues.
2.) You ride two-up, not worth the risk with added weight and heat build up.
3.) You took the time to count 35 small cuts, take the time to replace it !!

Just my 2...

I wouldn't trust that liquid tire-sealant stuff that you put in bicycle tubes. I put some in my kids' bicycle tubes:
* It is intended to be in a tube, not a tire. Motorcycles don't have tubes. Not sure if it could even work.
* I've noticed it makes the tires unbalanced. It remains liquidy inside the tube, and all congregates at the lowest point of the tire. It probably spreads itself out evenly when the tire spins, but I wouldn't want to mess with an unbalanced tire.

Wow, how do some go through tires so fast? What the heck was it that you rode over! I've ridden over many kinds of miles (unpaved, dirt, sand, gravel, paved) and I'm still going (about 16,000 miles) on same rubber. 2,000 miles and tire is shot? What was on the road: broken bottle glass?

You don't know that.

On one of my cars, I got a nail in a tire. The tires were almost new, so I had the hole patched. All was well.

Two years later, the car developed a shake to it. I took it to a shop to have it checked out. The pointed out that one of my tires was about to fly apart. It had a bulge in the tread.

When I removed the tire and looked inside, the bulge started exactly where I'd had the nail hole patched years before. The nail had damaged the cords, but it took a while for the problem to become apparent to me.

It's your bike and your call, of course. If it were my bike, though, I'd replace it.

A patch here or two is fine, but with so many cuts + a second rider...... just get a new rear tire.
I agree about having the front tire replaced or at least looked at. Better rubber than skin.
