Radiator Side Panels/Covers

I took my radiator covers off to paint them black, and they turned out really good. However, I didn't tighten the screws on one side tight enough and the left radiator cover fell off. Well, I ordered a new one from ronayers, but until then, it bugs me that I'm missing one. Is it ok if I just leave them both off for now?

Can you use regular paint, or does it have to be the heat resistant kind?

It's best to use the heat resistant paint. It's not very expensive.

I used regular paint. If it doesn't hold up, I'll just sand them down and do it again.

Did you guys have to sand and primer them first or what?

You don't have to, but it will help the paint bond better and last longer.
