R6 Forks for Sale $125

True - they do but you need some custom parts machined. If you just happened to need new tires anyway - buy the fender and change to 60 series tire.

I'm in the hunt looking for a good deal for 08 Raven color BUT only after I wear out the BT-016's Pro's to drop it in w/a sixty series tire. Make sense?

No, you can make brackets out of band aluminum, a few spacers and a couple of allen bolts. For spacers you can by the correct sided washers. I did that before I was able to get a set made.

The 60 series tires is terrible. Everyone changed to a 70 series to get better turn in.

I know in one of the threads there someone has the washer p/n numbers listed.

"For the spacers, you can order them from McMaster-Carr
98126A797 -axle shims
93475A280 -caliper spacers
About $15

As far as the fender brackets, you would either have to manufacture them, see if RyanK has any more, or wait for him/someone else to make more."

We really need to make a sticky to this mod. As it is simply "too easy."

Got the forks in today. Amazing! Too bad that it will be at best a June install considering tax season and studying for the CPA exam. I think my favorite part was the packaging. Which, BTW, was a perfectly snug fit with no damage.

I guess what we haven't heard is this: is it within the OPs means to fabricate these items? I was just saying there are options so you don't have to make parts as not all of us are capable.
A couple years ago I was in a position to do little parts like that. Today, not so much.

But I hear you about the tire change. All though I've never had a 60series tire on the front, I can see its wider cross section hurting the turn in.

Hint: when you say "band aluminum" I'm thinking you may mean, "bar stock" at the local hardware store??? As this is an option with a vice, a drill, and hacksaw some adapters could be made.

Looks like he has time to scoot about on this one. . .
