Puig racing screen for the FZ?.

Did anyone notice the much more turblance with the Puig racing screen on?. When I come into high speed turns at 70mph the wind just throws my head to side to side. Scary. It's comming off until someone makes a standard screen for the FZ

Nope. I have MUCH less turbulence with mine. Wouldn't ride without it now. How tall are you?

I am about 5'9. I never noticed it with my stock windscreen. I do not know if it is because of the taller 2 inches than stock or the double bubble design. All I know is tried it on the same turn and seem to get the turbulance?. Nice windscreen but It seems to give me alot of wind in my face sheild.

I noticed the opposite with it...i went from a stock screen to the Puig DB racing screen and im 5'9" and this screen is like a godsend. I do get side buffeting but only if im in the turbulence of an SUV or tractor trailer.

Stock = excessive head thrashing.
Puig Racing = MUCH LESS buffeting.

If you tend to follow anything (too closely) larger than a mid-size car then it does not matter what you have for a windscreen... turbulence behind almost all vehicles will move your head.

On another note, what is the make/model of your helmet? A lot of helmets are the culprit all by themselves. We know it's not your height at this point. I am 5'10"

Personally, the Puig Racing is the BEST functional mod money I've spent. The stocker lasted for 2 weeks and that was only because the Puig took THAT long to get here!

give it 2 more weeks (until i get paid again) and i will take this demon off your hands for you for cheap :noworries:

I have a HJC and a Shoie helmet. Maybe it is just me. I am not knocking the Puig windscreen I like it alot. Its just not worth it if I am not comfortable riding with it.

it was designed to cut the wind off more than the standart one, when I put it on I immediately noticed a huge positive difference.
It was probably a much more windy day when you were testing,strong side winds maybe?
It would've been worse with the original one

I have to agree, the Puig windscreen made a HUGE difference in the comfort level riding anything over 80km/h. Much less buffeting, and it also seems to direct the air sideways more as well, since I don't feel like someone is pushing back on my shoulders all the time.

Not that you need one more confirmation from the pro Puig end but just put mine on today and I discovered a pleasant difference at highway speeds. Much less buffeting. I am 5' 10" (okay, maybe 5' 9 and 3/4) but it was a good purchase for me.

I don`t get any buffeting with my screen.

I fixed it. I cut 3 inches off of it.
