Ok... Not sure why all the simpliest of mods I try seem to blow up in my face...

I ordered some 04-06 Puig Frame sliders from Indy and when I went to install the left side first with the longest supplied bolt things didn't go well...

I have read threads about people strippin their threads so I went slow and diliberate only to find it was tightening before the sliders was firm on the frame. I wasn't liking the feeling of the bolt tightening that much well before the slider was secure so I took back off before I stripped...

The supplied bolt was 80mm... can anyone confirm that is the right bolt length for the left side (when on bike, long bolt side)??

I read that there was no difference in the 04-06 to 07... anyone confirm that 04-06 Puig go on 07 without strippin for sh*ts and giggles?

This should be a 5 minute job but so is the Rizoma Bar end job that are still sitting on my comp desk....

Any help and information will be much appreciated...

Not sure if it helps, but this is a pic of my 06 on the left, I think (if you zoom in) there was a small gap between the frame and the slider on the left side so it might be normal.

Don't overtighten the bolt. If you feel that it's not enough for you, use some blue locktite (medium strength).
