Powerbronze belly pan

I'm trying to fit a powerbronze belly pan to my s2 naked and i'm having trouble getting the two panels to meet in the middle, i've put the bracket with the shallow bend on the right side of bike as you sit on it and the sharp bent bracket on the left, but there doesn't seem to be an angle to set them at where the panels meet properly, has anyone fitted one and could give let me know where i'm going wrong before i smash it to bits

I have not fitted one but at a glance it looks as tho the aft section needs to be moved out so the center will close.

Is that possible?

I used the original screw and added one above and one below for stability. You can't put the two halves too close together or it will flare out the pan sides.
