Power Bronze lowers

I received the Lower fairings that i ordered today and was not to happy to see the box torn smashed and patched with tape.

So I took photos before opening and once i opened the package i saw the fairings were against one another with no protection between (the set was wrapped in bubble wrap but not 1 sheet between the two)the two fairings beside the film that coats it.

Part 4/5 (left side lower fairing) was scratched through the film in more than a few spots which also scratched the finish, I am contacting power bronze figure out what I can do about this. (sucks )

They look good and very sturdy for how light they are seem fairly good quality just sad that an international company would not pack it for international shipping correctly.

I would be livid if I saw that! I'm sure once you talk to them they'll make it right. And definitely don't pay a dime if they ask you to ship those back to them.

I just received my tracking number from them yesterday. Took over a month to get it shipped across the pond. I'll let you know how mine looks when it arrives.

I recieved my Powerbronze lowers today and no damage but I do have to say they weren't packaged the best. Mine had no bubble wrap between the two parts. I was lucky they didn't rub together.

I do have a question. The hole for my turn signal light on the right lower is not tear drop shape like the one on the left side. Is yours like this?

I have had bad experiences with parts being packaged poorly, too. Just doesn't seem like rocket science to understand an object needs to be padded on all sides. I can't help but laugh when I see a part with five sides up against the inside of the box and padding on the one remaining side. :spank:

Yeah, so i emailed power bronze they called the shipper in MI he called me,


After i called him 5 times lol said no prob ups will come get them tomorrow when i get them ill send you a new set well,,,,,, we shall see good sir,

Usually its not this simple but you never know if it is I STILL recommend power bronze ( on sale only )

Well that pisses me off. It took over a month to get them and now I have a defective right side. Seems like the company has very poor quality control.

Their packaging/logistics is clearly lacking... some time back, I got a scratched screen and missing parts from a belly pan... BUT with pics they replaced it without a hassle (1 month later).

Their customer service knows how to satisfy the [US] customer; so I think this is very common - the shipments get put together/satisfied in a distribution center in the Central US (which is why it takes 1-2 months) - so I suspect that's where the problem lies, at least for the most part.

From a business standpoint, they're bleeding money by replacing so many parts... don't know why it hasn't hit them to check things over or use 2 cents of more bubble wrap.

From your pictures it looks as though one hole is cut in a different position than the other. Also looks like one hole is kind of oval.

Yeah I would t recommend them at all I think I'll sell these I like the Yamaha oem lowers I got caught up in the sale, last time I order or recommend power bronze. They have good quality Chinese parts which isn't saying much. Like my dad always said you get what you pay for.

I did fit them to the bike and they do look awesome. Removed them so I can send them out to be painted. I'm thinking of using flush mounted turn signals to cover the holes.

How are you going to paint them, same as bike? What color is that did you take it to an auto paint place? I have the same ideas but haven't put then into action curious what your actually getting done for how much

I took the side panel off by the seat and the body shop is going to match that to paint the lowers the same colour. I own an auto repair shop and we have recommended our customers to him and because of that he's said he would paint them for $100.

Well its been about two months i just received my second set of power bronze lowers and yet again damaged this time they packaged it right, the mesh is completely smashed in doesn't look like its from shipping but who knows, at this point im asking them to return them i don't want to even try to get a 3rd set great customer service but logistics sucks, REALLY annoying.

would not recommend these to anyone either they are cheaper for a reason you get what you pay for.

Did you ever get a lower on your bike? It makes the bike look complete. For some reason the bikes I have in the garage, '84 GPz 750, '03 FZ1 and '09 FZ6 all came with half fairings. Then for some reason all three got full lowers, The GPz and FZ6 got factory parts and the FZ1 got a JMV lower. I saw some fiberglass repo lowers (factory) on ebay a bit ago and I think they might still have them listed. They are unpainted so you will have to do that, and there is no mounting kit. Don't know of anyone selling just a mounting kit, but never looked into it that hard. Maybe Yamaha Canada can tell you. That is where I got the lower for the FZ6. To get the right color for my 2009 I had to get the 2008 blue in the Canadian catalog.

I have mounted them beside to test I'm debating cutting to my frame sliders or ordering engine mounting bolts, I have not decided I also want to get them painted but it all costs $$$$$
