Hello all i love what you've all done with your bikes very inspiring indeed ive toyed with this naked idea thing for some time and have decided to act upon it, so now i feel like getting NAKED lol! i have an 06 FZ6 that im going to change into a streetfighter, but i will be doing this on a very tight budget so any help our suggestions on were to find inexpensive parts would be greatly appreciated, here is the bike in its un molested form

ITSME, Get that bike naked!!! For some reason, the red bikes are my favorites when undressed! Get going on the project... you won't regret it!

Im undecided as to which headlight assembly to go with :don'tknow: there are so many out there to choose from and seeings how right now im on a budget im leaning more towards the inexpensive one (ie) Acerbis, if i could find someone to purchase my existing fairing and headlight assembly with Halo eyes and pod lights installed id be money ahead on the project.

I am a lucky European :) and here are some pics of my F6-n S2. Not so many mods yet, except for the headlight fairing, a smaller plate holder and framesliders. Sense i am a big fan of trackdays next on my wishlist for mods, is anoter handlebar and some Rizoma Rear Sets:drool:

Have a great day.

Here's a couple quickies taken with my phone today...just got the bike back from having lots done - Ohlins Rear Shock, Racetech Springs, etc, Braking Wave discs, a bit of painting, some LED indicators, and the Two Brothers Titanium pipes.

Have also just taken off the screen, and wind deflectors as winter is done in Oz now.

Is still a work in progress...but is getting sharper. :Flash:

WOW your bike looks sweet! nice work!

I'm much more decisive than you... I like the orange. Why don't you send me your tank? :D

Thanks for the input, but that Orange tank aint going anywhere! Love it, but i also like the black.

Have had lots of comments, but opinion seems to be divided fairly evenly.

Maybe i will go with stealthy black for commuting and touring, and Orange for sport riding...as it is a little known fact, and contrary to scandalous propoganda....that blue, or red are not the fastest colour FZ6, it's the Orange ones! Lol! ;)

Will have fun changing from time to time i suppose, and the tank bra does help keep your paint in good condition, a friend of mine took his off his TRX for the first time in 7 years the other day, and his tank was pristine.

:Flash:

Some day, when I've got spare cash burning a hole in my pocket, I'm going to price getting an orange tank from Australia...

Was the Orange never released in the States? They are very rare here in Oz. have only seen, or heard of two others where i live.

Have thought of doing Front fender, side pods, and ducktail orange, with black stripes too, but man it would be loud!

No orange here!

I too like the orange better than the black, but you already knew that!

Gosh i didnt think you were talking to me! , Yes orange is best i think, it's the reason i bought the bike in the first place. The Black just appeals to my "inner teenager"!

When I first decided to get a bike (before I did my research and before I decided that I should start small) the bike I fell in love with was the 2003 SV650 in burnt orange. I've wanted a bike that color ever since. I thought about painting mine, or buying the parts from Yamaha Europe, but it wouldn't look as good with my silver frame as it does with the black.

Yes i think your right, there are a few Orange FZ6's with the silver tank, is not as nice IMHO.

I painted my forkls black, and replacved silver front indicator mounts & Radiator covers, with black items too...this also made a big difference, as did the orange rim tape...that really brings out the orange tank.
