Pod light issue

I recently posted about/swapped out my stock flasher for an LED flasher, replaced the front signals with protons, rear brake light with Motodynamic unit and replaced the rear signals with Rizomas.

It all worked great until..............pod lights.

I attempted to use the Autozone zone approach (Another Pod Light Mod... - FZ1OA Message Board) and connected it all to use the pod lights as running light and turn signal along with the protons.

However, now that it is hooked up, the dash board signal indicators remain illuminated at approx. half brightness, but work normally otherwise.

The actual signals work as they should most of the time, but when the 4-ways are turned on, the the pod lights and rear signals act normal, but he protons slow to about half their normal blink rate. Sometimes it works perfectly fine.

I searched around attempting to find anyone also experiencing this as others have done it this way, but really haven't been able to come up with anything.

Why would the dash indicators stay light and why does the system randomly stop working correctly? Is something back feeding?

Did you install an electronic flasher module? If not, this should be a first step.

What bulbs did you use for pod lights? LED or incandescent? Bi-directional LEDs may be causing an issue. Throw in some incandescent bulbs for a quick test if those are not in there already.
 
I had already replaced the flasher with an LED flasher when I started switching out the turn signals.

I used the same jam strait super bright 134 led bulbs as how-to post showed. I will to try the normal incandescent to see if it helps.


ETA - No luck with the incandescents. They made it worse.

I tried to place diodes to stop back flow and it helped but didn't completely eliminate the problem. I have 3 in series and more helps but makes a long line of them. I used the small 1a ones.

Would larger diodes prevent more back flow or do they just handle more initial power?
