lower fairing, without it its just a weird naked/touring fairing hybrid.

thats why i got mine naked. either go all the way or nothing

Yea, i understand the idea of all or nothing. I dont know why, but it just seems like the bike needs something. Maybe its just me....

I like the belly pan. One of the reasons I got the Fiz was the lack of plastics. I do like the lower belly pan, it gives it a different style.

I'm with this guy... I bought the FZ6 because of the near-naked-ness of the bike as well. I did add the belly pan but I like the Yamaha one only. It's just subtle enough and leave that FANTASTIC I4 visible to the people to admire in awe! :thumbup:

IMO, go with the belly pan...more unique...all the Rs have full fairings. Personally, I plan on getting both; the belly first then later on the full to throw on for long trips.

That may also be a good idea, but do full fairings help that much with the longer trips. I have gone on I-5 at 80 mph (I know, tsk tsk) and it seemed stable and not to problematic at that speed like some hooligan bikes to on highways.

people with full lowers, does it make a difference, and if it does, how much?

Travis, here's a pic of mine.

I really can't say that it has made any difference in stability, and I have to admit that I'm occasionally running WAY over 80. As you might expect, I am feeling a little more heat coming off the engine, this Summer will tell me if that's a problem or not. Sure felt good over the Winter, though.

I'd think of it just in terms of cosmetics.

I have the belly pan, and like the different look it gives. If i had a 07+ I would buy the factory lowers. I just don't really care for any of the 04~06 lowers. 07+ Factory ones are already painted and I can get Yamaha stuff for cost through a buddy. My belly pan was $181. The full lowers would be around $500 I would guess.

$500??????? I doubt that..I saw it somewhere are $848 here in US...which is way too expensive..if you really know a place selling for around $500 let me know..I will buy it today. I love the lower fairing look for 07-09s

IMHO the FZ6 has always had a bit of an identity crisis. Is it a faired bike trying to look naked, or a naked bike tring to look faired? It's knid of stuck in the middle.

So to me, it's a different bike just in that regard. It's not fully faired and it's not fully naked.

I originally wanted a fully faired bike, but now that I've had my FZ6 for a few years it has grown on me. I like being able to see the engine and all the 'detial' of it.

I have a the bellypan on mine and like the compbined look with that on the bike. Smooths out the lines of the bike a little more.

I think the advantage of owning an FZ6 is that you can see the engine. You pay all this money for a bike and it's nice to see what makes it go!

My feeling of the bike after making it a full fairing, is that I experience less turbulence when moving above the 50mph line ....
It feels like I have a different windscreen on now (but I'm still running the stock windscreen).
Also the bike feels slightly more agile at the higher speeds.

There are several different Belly Pan and Lower fairing...
I decided to get TCP...I got both of them earlier and decided the Lower fairing look more flawless....I like belly pan as well but with belly pan I ll do fully naked conversion which I wont do...
if you like more to Touring bike then go with lower fairing but if you like to be fully naked then go with belly pan...
They both cant go wrong....is just matter of taste...Good luck
