Is this method just for "after market" stickers and decals or could I use this technique to get rid of my factory warning sticker on my tank? I've wanted to get rid of it from day one but I didn't want to scratch my tank or leave a messy spot on my tank.

The stickers beeing removed on that Honda (sorry) Fairing looks factory, so I would guess that it works on factory stuff as well.

that sticker on my brand new 08 fz6 gas tank was the bane of my existence. i finally found that 'bug and tar' takes it right off.

Ok I gotta wonder...how the F does the first guy who did this come up with the idea of smearing peanut butter on his bike to take a sticker off?!?!?!?

Thats what I was thinking.

Also in most peanut butter there is a chemical added to keep the peanut oil from "floating" to the top. That might have something to do with it also. This chemical or other oil is found in all peanut butters except all natural kinds.

i will have to remember this trick.. i tried taking the tank sticker off and after some windex and some other crap i had around the house i decided to stop before i hurt the paint and got some adhesive remover.. by by sticker.. and finally took off the scorpion stickers that where falling off and i say the clean pipes look good.

wd-40 works also. just be sure to clean all the wd-40 off once the goo is gone.
