Error Code 14

Hey guys, on my 06 FZ6 the engine light comes on after the bike has been warmed up and restarted. When I start it cold, go for a ride the bike is up to temp, no light. If I restart it maybe 5-10 mins later or longer, the light turns on and stays on. I checked the sensor and harness pin voltages it looks to be in range. I heard it needs to be back-probed, however, to get the feedback loop from ECU which I haven’t done. Code14 showed up, which is related to the hose being pinched/clogged/broken, which it is not. I cleaned it out and ran air through it. I have not found much on this online; I guess it’s not a common issue. If anyone has ideas, please let me know, thanks.

Both those codes relate to readings from the air pressure sensor. You have replaced the sensor so it is more likely an issue with the wiring to the sensor.

Never had this on the FZ, but had something very similar on my 06 FJR. Very similar bike, just bigger. You need to check ALL the interconnected hoses on the throttle body, not just the one that goes to the sensor. The other hoses and fittings are very small and prone to clogging. On my FJ, I found one of the smaller ones completely clogged. I went to the auto parts store and bought 10 feet of new hose and replaced them all. If you do that, be careful with tne little connectors, they can be very fragile.

So the hose from the IAP sensor going to that T-connector, check the hoses on there and the surrounding ones going to the throttle body? Also, the engine light for code 14 is on for a cold start. It stays on constantly now so something changed. If anyone gets the chance I want to see what your kPa reading is in D03 for IAP. Mine is reading 49 kPa, and when I unplug the sensor it goes down to 3 kPa. According to ChatGPT and Google Gemini, it should be reading around 103 kPa at sea level while the engine is off. Also edited the title and description, wanted to clarify that error code 13 popped up because I was unplugging and replugging IAP wire while the bike was running to see if a connection was loose.
