PCIII vs JUICE BOX

ok, before the flames start, i know this has been touched on before.. but i have not found the answer yet... i have looked through the forums to find a post relating to this, and found a few, but no real answers other than "riders choice" so... is there any difference in the juice box and PCIII? currently the only mods i have (engine wise) are -1 in the front and the ol' K&N and a cut up air box... I am planning on getting the TB exhaust with Aprils tax money (or stimulus check, whichever comes first) but until then i was looking around at getting the juice box or PCIII to start tinkerin with them. I know they have "custom" maps that come preset.. but would the mods i have even be worth it? or should i just wait till i get the exhaust for this add on? and the big question... so which IS better?? is there any difference? either easier to work with?

well with no replies i just had to bite the bullet and get the juice box.. i got a really nice deal... all the other sites were selling for $270-$300+ for juice box or PCIII.. but i found this juice box for $228.. so without hearing anyones opinion on them, i just did it.. and since you all wouldnt help me out.. im not gonna tell you where i got the good deal! :Flip::Flip:

Dunno brother...I've not met anyone who's tired one. I'd have to imagine that it is a very good product as TB has their collective act together.

Do they offer a variety of maps? Or is it more of a butt dyno project??? I'd highly suggest a professional tune on an Eddy Current Dyno. I was pleasently surprised how much I learned during my tune session. I'm thinking the bike is lean, turns out is it fat! Whodathunk???

have you played with the stock settings of the JB? it seems a little complicated, or maybe im just reading into it too much... did you just plug and play? where did you mount it? the website says under the seat, but i would rater mount it by the instrument cluster if possible. also, last question i swear.. did you see alot of improvement?

I have only used the first two settings. I like the second setting so far. It was plug and play. I mounted under the seat behind the tool box . I might be imagining it, but maybe a slight improvement.

hope this might help with the box tuning. and where to mount. i know with the juice box you cant hurt ur motor because you cant lean it out only richen it. i think you made a good choice.

PC3 Has more maps and more support. Pc3 is better in my opinion.

The Juice Box is definitely more user friendly if you aren't interested in spending time at the dyno getting a custom tune, but it is limited in that respect as well. If you are willing to go do a custom tune, the PCIII is the better choice because of its versatility, but is technically more complicated for the average rider. Either choice is still better than the stock map.:thumbup:

I'm waiting to see whetehr Bazzaz ever comes out with an FZ6 compliant version of their system.

it allows custom mapping, ON THE FLY. So while you ride it maps itself. Allows multiple maps that you can switch between with the press of a button, has a traction control component that is AMA compliant for any bike (runs on a rev/speed monitor rather than wheel speed- and then cuts ignition if need be).
