Sorry Mick, just don't see that answer fitting the riddle. I've never got a splinter walking into a forest. I may have picked one up clearing brush. Typically the come from aged cut wood. Old benches and stuff. The rest of it really doesn't apply either. Most of the time I get a splinter I can find and pull it and that normally doesn't require me to sit.
