Electric start switch

Hi boys and girls
Ive started to the notice that I've to push my electric start button 2 or 3 times now you get her started.... as it used to start on first push.... it's coming up for 40K now, it's never let me down in the past 9 years,
Was wondering if something is getting worn,
it's a Yamaha FZ6 s2 fazer 09 plate
Has anyone had the same issue, and sorted it.

I would suspect corrosion at the starter switch. If you disassemble the throttle grip housing you can clean the contacts with Scotchbrite pad. While you're in there, clean the contacts on the RUN/STOP switch.
