Just bought this one.

2004 with 6800 miles.

Have taken it out a couple times. My prior bike (and first) was a 2005 Katana 600. Served me well.

So on to this bike, forum etc. My brother owned an FZ6 and recommended it for me. Actually he recommended an FZ8 but they are too expensive.

finally, the weather here in Boston is turning. Tomorrow should be mid 60's, looking to do the first commute of the year.

If the weather holds it will be an early start to the season.

hi hurricane welcome. its a nice example was well taken care of, it ll give you hours of fun!.

since its an 04/05 check that it has the tps recall done and the front sprocket washer. (looks it was well taken care of so maybe the previous owner already done it )(check with your yamaha dealer should be able to tell you even if it was not bought through him - its a factory recall.

congrats on the bike, the FZ6 is great and a good choice, the FZ8 IMO is not worth it, i would rather have an FZ1 if i were going to go above the 6...

Well, I am about 500 miles into the bike now.

I have grown very accustomed to it and like the bike more and more each time I ride it.

-Much smoother on the highway than my prev bike (2005 Kat 600)
-Better with a passenger than my prev bike

I have gotten used to the snappy throttle response, and may or
may not get a power commander.

I'm not enamored with the seat, but the aftermarket ones look nice.
