New paint for my FZ

I am currently in the process of putting a new coat of paint on some of my body panels. I have the blue FZ that has the 2 colors of blue on it. The panels that are the darker blue will now be silver to match the silver frame along with the trim panel that goes under the taillight and the hugger. These which were just black to start with. The cover that goes over the stock exaust will go from silver to the bright blue to match the rest of the blue. I have the rear panels in clear have have yet to begin the front fairing. Don't worry though, when it is all completed I will post pics of my FZ when the job is all done. I'm guessing that by this weekend i should have it all done. It might take me a bit to figue out how the front fairing comes off since this is the only panel I have not had off yet. If anyone knows how and could tell me how so I don't break anything trying to get it off would be great. Thanks for reading my essay!!! LOL:Sport:

Sounds cool, be sure to get some before and after pics as well as the process that you use.

ha, Im on the same boat, I wanna paint my panels but I cant decide between yellow or red... Im going with a custom paint job, but still cant decide the color. My gear is yellow, so I want yellow but red looks great on these bikes.. maybe after I see yours I'll get some ideas.

Just an update, I have the rear panels done on reinstalled on the bike. As for the front panels, they are in the final stages of clearcoat and will be done and back on the bike this weekend. I am taking pictures along the way and I also have some before pics to go along with the after pics. I'll post them early next week so ya'll can see the new paint.

I also am having my bike painted. Well I started out painting it myself but my garage to put it in simple terms is dirt bag filthy and it would have took a lot of sanding to make it look good. I will have my parts back from the body shop Wednesday at the cost of 750 bucks!!!!!! It will be Kustum Shops Fire Red Metallic and Flat Black. Will have pictures as soon as I get everything back!!!

lol, dude, that's how much my uncle charged me for my car... He said he would paint my panels for free so Im lucky I don't have to spend 750 on paint for my bike.

The fairing is awesome! How about a belly pan now? Silver or blue? I'd vote blue!

Believe it or not, all the paint and clearcoat cam from a can of sprap paint. I only use Duplicolor brand as i believe they are the best. I got the paint from Autozone. Just take our time with a few light coats at first then a couple medium coats until you get complete coverage, and DONT FORGET THE CLEARCOAT as this is what gives it the glossy finish. And yes im going to do the lower fairing eventually. Im goin back and forth on the full lower fairing or just a belly pan. I like them both!!

your bike looks sweet I would be afraid to spray paint mine. Get the belly pan it looks way cooler, might as well have gotten an r6 if you are going to get the full lower fairing.
