New lone wolf rider

Hi,

just got my driving licence 1 month ago and bought a FZ6 N S2 (2008) with 13500 miles...And, even if I get my license, maybe for a bad reason (fell in love with a biker chick who dropped me like a piece of sh!t ) I rode 1000 miles since I bought it and I still loving it (the bike not the chick ... yeah okay the chick too )

For now i did change the exhaust for a LeoVince Evo 2 (Alu) and rear mirrors for 2 chaft mercury.

To do list:
Sprocket 15 + speedohealer
Front Brakes pad (don't know what I should buy... I was thinking about some semi metallic from Nissin)
FZ1 handle bar

Well, beyond that i'm 30 years old and I live in France (Bordeaux),

You're only 30 and you're in France.. surely you can find another lady in no time :thumbup:

Nice bike, I really like your mirrors!I have the same one in black across the border...

I did pretty much the same mods you are planning, and they are worth it...
Especially the 15T sprocket, watch out, it really makes the front come up faster!

Few things i would recommend, change the fork oil to something a bit thicker, or a t least fresh! I am 80kg and changing it to 10w really made the forks feel a lot better.
I am still changing the fork springs soon, but the oil was a really nice first step.

Secondly, i would really recommend these foot rests:

Alloy Ultima Footrests Racing
Alloy Ultima Support Footrest Driver for Alloy Ultima

They really are a lot better and give you a lot more control over the slippery stock one.

Lastly, if you change the bar to an FZ1 bar i would recommend you change the grips to something a bit nicer like Progrips, i went with 717 and they are great.

Well for now i'm in a "no woman no cry" mood and my bike is my only concern.

Can't wait for the 15T sporcket mod but my chain kit is still in good shape so...

If you chain still looks ok you might get away with changing the sprocket and keeping the chain!

When i did mine my bike only had 10000km on it and my chain looked brand new, after a bit of research i found quite a few people saying changing only the sprocket would be fine.

That was 3000km ago and no problems or trace of sprocket wear since.

I think it's bad to change the sprocket only if you have a worn out chain, but if it looks ok just change the sprocket!
