I'm new to the site. Last week I bought a 2004 fz6 with about 9,000 miles on it. Summer is a real buyer's market in Phoenix so I negotiated hard and got a deal

The bike is all stock. So far I have changed the oil and polished the header. My left high beam appears to be burned out and I think a tb sync and maybe spark plugs could do it some good. For now I'm just having fun getting used to the new ride. Despite being a boring adult who works all the time and doesn't get out much I've managed to put on nearly 500 miles already

Anyway, I'm glad to have found the site. It is a goldmine of information.

:welcome: , so I have to know HOW good a deal you negotiated!!

Also, highbeam burned out= HID time? I'm eagerly waiting my low beam to burn out so I could put some HIDs on and then do the dual headlight mod. So far I'm still all stock too (even original tires), but I have frame sliders.

Howdy and :welcome: abroad!
I don't think we have a left(as sitting on it),
Hi beam.
They give us one hi beam and one low beam I believe.
Never noticed the left getting any brighter on hi beam.
Just the right lighting up,as it doesn't have a low.
One way to keep costs down.IDK :don'tknow:
Several mods on site to give you two lows.

I picked it up for $2000 out the door. It has been set down on the left at very low speed or while parked. It has frame sliders but it cracked the front cowl, the left inner cowl, and a part they call the visor which is shaped like this < and the turn signal is mounted to. I ordered all the plastic parts for about $200 and I plan to move a rear turn signal to replace the broken front signal and get a fender eliminator for the rear.

That's a bummer about not having a high beam on the left. I noticed the high beam does a really nice job illuminating the right shoulder but not so much the left side of the road. I suppose I could adjust it.

My bike is silver and black. I think the only other color that year was a navy blue. Part of me really wants to paint it day glo orange or hi vis green or pearl white as long as I'm tearing it down to replace plastic parts. I'll most likely leave it silver and black for now though.
