New Exhaust on the way!

I bit the bullet and pulled the trigger on a new exhaust for the Buell. I currently have a Jardine Aluminium slip on. The only reason I bought it was to get a clean 4 gas reading while the bike was on the dyno. I've been waiting for a "proper" exhaust since I first saw photos of the bike in June of 2007.

FINALLY Free Sprits of Italy fills the bill! :cheer::cheer::cheer:

The exhaust is hand made with stainless steel tubing and billet muffler cans. It has a proper "X" pipe and the tubing has the correct 2.5 degree taper. This also the only 2 into 1 into 2 muffler for the 1125 series. This configuration is considered the standard for V-Twin sport bikes.

It is also one of the very first Free Sprits full systems imported into the US. The folks there were very professional and helpful.

Hopefully I'll receive it in a couple of weeks. :thumbup:

That is for sure brother. In order to remove the rear manifold and install the new one, I have to rotate the motor forward so I can access the rear of the motor. Only 29 easy steps, seriously. This is going to be fun...

Pretty much, at least I don't have to buy insurance for it.

There's all kinds of Buell goodies hitting the market and more over the winter I hope. There are a few key items I want to get before they go away for good. Factory lowers, and a secons set of wheels; white I think, or burnt orange might be fun. I also want the factory comfort seat, very nice saddle for a reasonable price. The factory vented 5mm front brake rotor. And lastly brake and clutch master cylinders; Brembo, they have a better feel and look cool.

I want to stay with OEM goodies but the prices haven't dropped as they should yet. Come December I suspect there will be some screaming deals on parts.

One other project I'm hoping will become a reality is a set of Woodcraft rearsets. Eric Wood was in the prototype stage and then October 15th happened. I'm in the process of trying to get 20 folks to pony up a deposit so Woodcraft will do the one and only run. If not I'll save up for the Free Spirits rearsets, or hope that Rizoma makes a set.

Wow! That exhaust is really cool looking. I like how it hangs and has 2 different pointing tips. Very nice!

You have to rotate the engine to fit it? That's crazy, but totally worth it.

Looks good, Pete! The way the tips are, if you do a burnout :squid: they will blow the smoke out in a huge cloud.
