Looks like I can come along to this trip with another buddy of mine. One problem, I just check out the Kitzhof Inn for room availability and saw everything fully booked for the 14th and 15th . Does any one have a room with two free beds and willing to split the cost to save some dough?
Let me know if this can happen, otherwise I'll just go on the next meet.

Ok, well I have almost (but not quite) given up on being able to make this ride but I too knew that if I waited then lodging would be a problem. I googled "Mount Snow, VT" and came up with this for other lodging possibilities close to where the group is staying. I hope it helps.

I just double checked. I am now in Room 1 (old room 14), which has 2 double beds and 1 twin bed. So my room can accomodate two more if you are looking for a room.

It's not the room I'm worried about - it's the arm I'm still not riding yet, have a doctor appointment tomorrow. I may try to take a short ride again tonight but I'm not sure I'm going to be up to riding all day. I will keep you posted but at this point it isn't looking good for me.

With just over a week left, you're right, it isn't looking good, but should you decide to come, I'm sure there will be an open bed in one of the rooms. I really hope you can make it though... Ace bandage and some Lidoderm patches?

Ok - here's my suggestion/vote. We head out with the intent of doing both Rt17 through the gap and TracyRd - in that order by traveling the loop counter-clockwise. If things go well (read good pace) we get the full loop in, if things go a little slower we cut short (miss TracyRd) and head the back on the inside loop.

Full loop - 299 mi, 7 hr 40 mins riding time @ ~speed limits (this is about 45 mins less riding than the original route)
Inside loop - 246 mi, 6 hr 40 mins, again riding time @ ~speed limits

zipped GPS attached and photo of routes.

So, does everyone agree that this is our selected route? Any objections, please say so now. If not, please load this route from Scott's post into your GPS. I'm sticking with it until someone says otherwise.

The position for leader is still open but I will lead if no one else desires to. I'm only offering it up because I've never ridden these roads before and if someone is more familiar, you are more than welcome to lead the pack.
