LOL , you got me :spank: :shakehead:....I only painted it blue so i could slow it down a bit , no-one else could keep up with the lightning fast silver

couldn't handle the dirt!!!! gave it a full detail tonight soon as i got it home, the tires were a little low on air which was dulling then handling quite considerably (and the power too strangely enough, at least felt like it!)

got a chance to open it up a little tonight, man these things can shred your license pretty quickly i imagine!

getting to know it slowly, how quickly i can bang up and through the gears, when its okay to compression brake and when its not (nice little rear end skip out..) and also how much right wrist to prevent the front wheel coming up (first time ever woot!)

okay i'm still a bit excited by it all, i'm sure you all remember

Glad you like her mate , yes we all remember what it was like but go easy for a while , she can bite you...Fast :thumbup:....Over 8000rpm and you may aswell throw your licence away ...But thats what makes me smile :rockon:

crazy thing happened on the bike today...

i get to an intersection turning right across oncoming traffic, every riders favourite thing i know. Still getting used to the throttle and clutch of my new bike i find a clear spot and go to move off... CLUNK the bike stalls.

'WTF learn how to use the clutch d**khead!' goes through my mind as i punch the starter button but then looking down to realise the dash is off and the bikes got no power at all!

i do the duck paddle of shame to the side of the road after getting beeped at 40 times and find a quiet spot. Nothing, bike doesn't want to start. No allen keys in the tool box to get the fuel tank off and get to the battery (there is now..) so i ring my mate who says he'll head down with some tools and jumper cables

i move the bike about 5 meters to a safer spot and just for giggles punch the starter... brooom, bike comes back to life..

i HATE intermittent electrical problems they are the worst, as i really don't want the bike conking out on me in situations like that

what could it be i think? Dodgy alarm install? pannier indicator wiring frayed or not done proply? looks like a short circuit and i swear i could hear sparking when i turned the key..

anyway, back on the bike and make it home, rip the tank off with allen keys to discover the positive terminal sitting loose on the battery!

glad it was something so simple but no idea why it wasn't done up tight to begin with...

all better now

Wow, that sucks. Lucky it was just a small problem... apart from the blushing (but the helmet hid that anyway... right )

Once you add a connector to the battery, the standard bolts become very short... very quickly. Look at getting a slightly longer bolt for the leads.

I was thinking exactly the same...glad too, that it was only a terminal!

Not like me recently, when i connected my alarm, i very vaguely connected the power to the wrong terminals...and yes, i am a DJ, and that's my excuse for being DUMB!



It's a lovely bike, killer touring outfit...man i could live for a month out of those 3 cases!

thanks guys, yeah i was getting the lemon thoughts running through my head!

i also adjusted the idle last night which as made it MUCH easier to ride..
