Kawi launched a naked 650R, why can't others?

Wow that Ninja 650 went through a complete make over! Very clean looking. Though I cant help but see a little bit of FZ6 in its eyes.

IMHO, the 650R front is looking better than the FZ6 07+ ofcourse. The 04-06 are a no match.

Not diggin the headlight, but the reast is very sweet.. Ok, those signals aren't the best either.

Looks nice. I'm not crazy about the rear shock placement however. It just looks funny to me. The rest of the bike looks great. I like the wave rotors too, a very nice touch of bling.

My husband just bought the '08 Z1000 and it is so sweeet!!:thumbup: I like what Kawi did with the '09 650R...now I'm tryin to decide between the FZ6R and 650R...decisions, decisions...what do you guys think???

If it's a first motorcycle, I would highly recommend the 650r for its engine characteristics. Secondly, between the two, I also think the 650r looks a lot better.

Well, I grew up on dirt bikes and then after being away from bikes for a while, I got a Ninja 250...put about 4,000 miles on it and bought a 600RR. I loved the power and stability of the RR, but it was intimidating to me because of the height even after being lowered (I'm 5'4). These bikes are appealing to me not only because of looks, but because of the seat height. I have compared the specs and from my limited knowledge of engines, they appear to be fairly similar. The weight of the FZ6R is worrisome to me...it "looks" like it would be front end heavy. I'm just looking for something easy to handle with power when needed. BTW...if you guys are ever close to Arkansas...there are some GREAT roads around here!!
