I ordered a Gopro Hero Wide camera this weekend and I'm really excited about it. I'ts not exactly a modification to the bike, but I love the idea of filming your ride. I also am STILL waiting for my 15t front sprocket and SpeedoHealer. I have seen different kinds of speedometer fixing gizmos on the market and wonder if they are all the same? Anyone have a different kind?

your right ,not a mod but a great motorcycle accessory, i really want one in time for the riding season..i like the idea of making a video diary of my summertime adventures.

I am also waiting for the Vortex 15t front sprocket. And i didn't get any speedo healer.
If you write your opinion and installation process when yours arrive, it would be useful.
Did you buy any new lockwasher for the sprocket? (I didn't)

I'm interested in hearing where you eventually mount this on the Fazer for the lowest vibration and least wind noise.

I didn't get a new lockwasher for the sprocket, but I will find one if I have to. I just cant wait to get the sprocket on the bike. I will try to post the instal but it should be pretty straight forward. I have another month at least to wait til the snow goes away so it sill sits in the garage.:(

The GoPro has some pretty sophisticated algorythms for the software that does a great job of image stabilization.
I've been mounting the camera with great filming results on the side of the fairing. I always use a safety tether to the signal stalk or something.
The only negative is when its mounted that low and your riding behind someone, especially with hot sticky tires, the crystal lens gets peppered and results in lot of anomalies from head on light.
These cameras are the best and so are the people at GoPro. They've helped me out with my lens problem.

Here's some video sample. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QZeSssFQfaM]YouTube - Montezoomers.wmv[/ame]

Yeah I think GoPro is the best too. So what mount did you buy? Do you think it's ok to mount it to the handlebar? Did you buy the Handlebar Seatpost Mount or the Roll Bar Mount? The Chest Mount Harness looks good too, especially since I'd like to take (sneak) this into some college football games (for non-commercial purposes, of course).
I just feel kinda inundated with information.

It comes with a suction cup assembly that's pretty rugged and versatile in addition to all kinds of clip mounts for other spots including your helmet. Cycle Gears stores seem to offer a good amount of accessories. Now they have an HD version that I'm aching to get!

hopefully they will drop in price slightly as im sure i read that a High Def version is being released

There is a "slickdeal" on GoPro.
GoPro Motorsports Hero HD - $213.00 with FS. - SlickDeals.net Forums

GoPro Motorsports Hero HD.
I ordered this Thursday with $30 for overnight shipping, since I was already saving $87 from retail. It shipped friday, should be here today.. if not, then Monday.

I believe this is the WIDE version, I don't think the HD cameras come without the wide option. Looks like a great camera, you can view sample videos here [goprocamera.com].

This is the Motorsports kit, which comes with everything in this picture [superbikesupply.com].

# 1 HD HERO Camera (5 megapixel)
# 1 Rechargable 1100 mAh Lithium-Ion Battery

# 2 Curved, 3M™ Adhesive Mounts
# 2 Quick-Release Buckles
# 1 Vertical Surface “J-Hook” Buckle
# 1 Suction Cup Mount

I'm headed to Cycle Gear right now. I'm surprising (mailing) my son with the standard res wide angle GoPro Haha!

That bike is sick and I've wanted to figure out a way to boom the camera like that!
Way cool!

Waaaiiiit!!!
I don't think CG will honor internet prices!!!!!!

EDIT: Actually, nevermind :D

The wide angle is a bit too wide imho... I think I`d get the contour HD before the GoPro if I were to buy a bike camera... seems easier to turn on/off while riding and more practical overall.

Looking forward to seeing footage from your setup though!

Hell yeah bro!! You California guys were pissing me off with your nice weather and awesome roads! :D (I gotta get out there!)
I got to show you all what we have on the east coast!

PS: I'm probably not the best person the show off those roads. I've got my chicken strips and proud of 'em. :D
