Those of you here who know me, understand my wife has been a rather large obstacle to bike ownership and happiness therein. You can go back and find my old posts relating to the subject. This morning as my wife and I woke up, we were talking and out of the blue she says.... if you cant sell the bike, I guess you can keep it. WOOOOT. finally!!! Thats what im saying.

Did you really just refer to your wife as "a rather large obstacle"? Dude I don't know how it works in your house, but I would be sleeping on the couch for a week if I used the word large in any sentence describing my wife! Anyway, congrats on keeping the bike.:)

Too funny! LOL...

Let's be honest, did you really put your best effort in selling the bike?

I was going to ask the same thing, lol! What were you asking for it? Where did you advertise?

Regardless, congrats on keeping it! Do something extra special for her now.

congrats on staying in the family. Cherish the bike now more than ever and also make sure to keep her rubber side down so that you don;t get the big " I told you so"

Most men are whipped, though... My girlfriend would never tell me what I can or can't do.... that is up to me and I afford her the same respect....

to the O.P., you don't have to answer this because the day your wife looks on hee and sees this post......... might be a bad day in your house!

you may have won the battle but the war is not over... let her "win" the next one

i had it on craigs list for 6.000 dollars. i thought that would keep it from being sold. it seemed to have worked. i give my wife a lot of victories knowing she wants the best for me, and for our family. this is about the only thing that i got that gives me so much joy, and on her feeling , its joy not having anything to do with her, so i think she felt slighted. boys must have their toys. I have come to trust that i can do what i please, i mean not stupid or anything, but reasonable things, and if she is mad, we just ignore each other and eventually she comes to accept it. acceptance is better than disharmony.
