Okay, that video was a real good laugh. But now, I want to see this guy deal with a runaway Toyota accelerator on a twisty, dangerous, mountain highway with 2,000 Ft. dropoffs on the side, where, because you're already pushing the limits, an accidental/inadvertant acceleration means you skid off a 2.000 ft dropoff. Some places there is little margin for error. Of course, if you're on a straight away freeway/highway/road, and you can't handle a runaway accelerator, then...TAKE THE F'ING BUS!

If you are literally that close to the limits of a car's traction on a twisty PUBLIC road that a small throttle blip would make you drop 2000 feet off a cliff, then maybe that driver deserves what's coming to him/her.

This video was amazing and exactly what I've been saying all along with this stupid Toyota ordeal. People need to learn how their cars work and how to handle adverse situations. It's just too damned easy to get a driver's license around here. Maybe a good solution is to make the practical exam more difficult.

LMFAO!!! :rof: I had the throttle stick on my Camaro when I was 17 at over a 100mph (speedo did'nt work either) I just turned the key back and killed the engine the gear selector want let it turn to full lock without it being in park....and that feature was on a 1980 model !!!
I think Toyota should send out this video along with the recall leters!! :rockon:

Car and Driver hit the Toyota debacle in a similar thought process but a lot fewer F-bombs and focused on the Camry rather than Prius. Basically concluded that you could do almost anything - just hit the brake, shift into neutral, shift into any other gear, etc - and come out ok.

I don't know about anybody else, but I didn't think that there were that many F bomb references in that video. I think the driver was being considerate and trying to tone down the f-bomb references and did quite a good job.

Very good (funny) video...

This is not for the offense, but I felt this after watching the video.

It WILL NOT HELP the current Prius issues at all... just thought about it.
It might give more negative effect to the general consumers ???

If I bought an expensive and very good reliable car,...
and I saw some good Video Manual that shows "How to stop your NEW car !!"

First step: set the gear in N
Second step: push power switch Off
Thrid step: push hard Brake if it is working condition
