Horsepower ????

Reiobard - I can't remember, have you tweaked the bike since this dyno run? If it is possible try to find a day that has similar weather to last year, hard to do, I know. In other words, comparing a 50 degree day to a 92 degree day will yield different results. Altitude density.

the day was mid 70s and the bike was bone stock, since then i have opened up the airbox and added some Leo Vince pipes and a cat eliminator, i will probably adjust the CO settings and drop in a K&N filter before i get it run again, It will be in the same location as the first one and i will be sure to try to get the weather about the same, but they bring the dyno machine to my local bike night a couple times a year and run bikes for $20 a run...

If the guy i know is still running it I can probably get the CO readings too, they meter wouldn't fit into the stock exhaust holes....

FZ6 = about 95 hp, depending on many factors
R6S = factory rated at 123 hp
R6 = tested at about 133 hp
2008 R1 = factory rated at 170 hp

I have seen many sites that support the FZ6 number. Yamaha provided the hp rating for the R6S and R1. The R6 numbers I have seen in various mags and believe it was dyno'ed by Motorcycle.com

Those r6 numbers are a decent amount off. The stock fz6 at the wheel makes 90-95 from dyno graph's posted on this site.

Nice graphs. The R6 has always gotten praise as a SS bike and look how gutless its midrange is compared to it's rivals. Clearly yamaha knows this. The FZ is no different. Yeah it's not a Vtwin but it's still so much fun.
