Horsepower ????

I am just curious to know how many horsepower we get on our FZ6. I believe I red somewhere it was close to 100hp, but I am not sure.
Also, do any of you know the horsepower for the R1 and FZ1. I think R1 and FZ1 should be about 150hp

The FZ6 comes in two versions, - one with 78Hp and On with 98Hp.
The 78Hp is meant for the UK market.

R1: 182Hp
FZ1: 150Hp

More importantly:
FZ6 HP/Kg: 0,5
FZ1 Hp/Kg: 0,7
R1 Hp/Kg: 0,8

I just had mine dyno tested with Farziki pipes, Power Commander 7, K&N filter,
Bosch plugs, 5 tooth front sprocket:

236.4 RWHP.

That's cool, right?

P.S. - seriously, I've read bonafide results between 90.5 - 92 HP stock at the wheel.

Reiobard - I can't remember, have you tweaked the bike since this dyno run? If it is possible try to find a day that has similar weather to last year, hard to do, I know. In other words, comparing a 50 degree day to a 92 degree day will yield different results. Altitude density.

Yamaha likes to claim my FJR at 145hp at the crank. Rear wheel (what you are really getting) is 127hp.
Just like dry weight the Mfgs. like to play with numbers.

Well yeah. They think if one manufacturer lies about their numbers, nobody's gonna buy their product if they tell the truth.

This applies to everything, including computer performance/drive size, and even television ratings for advertising sales.

A turbo, or highly highly modified race R1 might have that much.

Bone stock they're around 160. Wheel HP is always less than Brake HP

FZ6 = about 95 hp, depending on many factors
R6S = factory rated at 123 hp
R6 = tested at about 133 hp
2008 R1 = factory rated at 170 hp

I have seen many sites that support the FZ6 number. Yamaha provided the hp rating for the R6S and R1. The R6 numbers I have seen in various mags and believe it was dyno'ed by Motorcycle.com
