Had an SV650S will I be disappointed with a FZ6?

I had a 2004 SV650. Got electrical problems. I loved that bike, nice low end torque....it was a unicycle untintentionally a few times!

Having now had my FZ for about 6 months now....I wouldn't go back. PM me for pros and cons if you're debating.

My good friend (best man acutally) has a 2002 SV650S that I love. I can't decide which I like better for a street bike but the FZ6 is definitely quite a bit faster. The SV is fun to play around on and you gotta love the light weight but....I guess it all comes down to what your intended use will be.

I mostly drive on the highways 55+ and I like the upright riding position better on the FZ but I'm still unsure.

Get the FZ6.

I saw another person quote this above me...yea, I rode commutes of 100 miles each way a few times a month. The FZ is way easier on my wrist, my body, everything is easier commuting on this bike!

That GSX650F is one heavy motorcycle. I sat on one at the dealership before purchasing the FZ and it took more strength to center it than the FZ. I believe it has a steel frame which might contribute to its porkiness. Now with the SV and the FZ6, i think you will miss out on the low end torque at first, but once you get used to it on the FZ, I do no think it will be a problem.

I also passed on the 650F - even though I like Suzuki the weight and ergos were a turnoff. My choices were between Kawasaki 650 twin or FZ6. I happen to like revving the wee beasties to make them sing so I went the FZ6 route. Couldn't be happier.:thumbup:

Put a 15T sprocket or do the 520 conversion you'll hardly miss the SV low end. Plus Yamaha oozes quality all round. I am just bummed why the GSX650F weighs so much for 600cc bike and almost makes same power as the SV.

I had two choices, an 04 SV650S or 04 FZ6, same miles, same price, same color.
