FZ6 to FZ1N conversion or no? What do you think?

So as a lot of you know, I crashed my baby but am now looking at rebuilding her. Some have asked if I am going to do the naked conversion and the thought has definitely crossed my mind. Now I want to see what everyone's thoughts are on it or if I should just put her back to stock.

the FZ1 headlight is too much for the FZ6 IMHO,

dont you like the stock FZ6 headlight? the naked version is designed in a very balanced way

I thought so too but every pic I ever see I like the fz1n light better on he fz6. It seems much more aggressive to me. But you are already naked from oem so maybe you see it differently. I am going strictly by all the pictures i can find

I voted for you to look at both bikes and pick the one YOU prefer

I prefer the naked by a huge margin... FZ6N, FZ1N, Buell XB.... etc.... headlights all look better than the FZ6S fairing imho.

As Wavex stated " the choice is yours", but If I dumped my 07 FZ6 and had to replace the fairing.....well.....bye bye fairing! :Flip:

The design of the fairing and wind screen combination actually create more wind noise around my helmet than my old V45 Magna.

Anyway, The FZ is a great looking bike with the fairing, I think it looks better than other half-fairing bikes, but the FZ looks even meaner with no fairing!:rockon:

So do as you like, but my vote is to convert to FZ6N! I would!

I'd say go naked, FZ1 or another headlight it's up to you. I just think this bike looks and feels so much better without the fairing..

I think you should buy the vrod headlight that I'm selling for you naked conversion and get it off to a good start!

It is clearly your own decision. I wouldn't do it on a whim, but like you, where you need to repair now? I'd definitely take my insurance money and buy the N kit.

Tom was our pioneer I believe... I saw his bike in person. Love the look and fit!

I voted "yes", as I find the naked version a lot more dynamic than the faired one. And of course, I have one myself

I didn't vote because I figure if you are modding something...why mod it to look near stock (similar to FZ6N) take a look through some of Wavex's old pictures and other streetfighters out there and find a headlight that suits your fancy and pull the trigger! Custom naked pwns Factory naked anyday!

Awesome! Start a build thread in the streetfighter section and show us what you are planning! If you don't have one, a belly pan and seat cowl make a fighter out of our bikes!
