Fuel pump removal from gas tank FZ6S 2004

Hi Guys

New on here 1st post...whooo hoo....
Know this has been asked before but along long time ago.2009.

I want to know if anyone has a picture or photograph as to the clip that removes the block on the pump housing.

Someone who did this previously said you had to unclip by putting your fingers in between the tank aperture and the fuel pump to unclip.

However there is no way I can do this as the gap is too small for my sausage fingers.

I don’t know what the clip looks like and I don’t want to break a lug off the pump as that would be expensive.

All help and advice welcome.

This should do it. Push that tab in that direction and the two will SLIP apart.

You can re-install the pump as ONE piece.

BTW, your supposed to replace the pump gasket (big o-ring) when removing the pump..
