Hey Guys,
Most of you know that I crashed my bike recently while riding Big Bear Mountain with Wavex and Moldmaker. The bike is in decent shape, but the insurance company is considering it totaled.

I am looking to part out my R6 projectors that everyone has seen here on the forum (link). The outer shell has a few superficial scratches now, but is otherwise intact. This would be a VERY EASY project for someone to transfer the units into their current headlight since I have already fabricated the brackets that hold the projectors into the stock headlight.

I have also fitted the projectors with 4300k HID kits from the group buy that I organized last year from XenonDepot. These are high quality Phillips units that sold for just under $200 per side when I bought them.

I am not sure how much I can get for them, so if you are interested, make me a reasonable offer. Feel free to PM me if you'd like.

If you guys have an 04 to 06 this mod is well worth it. 1) Totally custom, gotta love a mod that is custom not a bolt on thingie. 2) Looks wicked, 3) tons more light, 4) already made for you, this is not a quick mod to put together, lots of things to make, align and fab.

If I had a 04 to 06 I'd be all over this one.

The headlight on the '07-'09 is the exact same for the '04-'06 model. So this will work easily on any year FZ6.

how bad is it scratched? And I looked at the picture on SBN and saw 3 lights lit up on it? Lol I have no idea what is what. Could I just use the plastics from my 08 to replace whatever is scratched on it? And what about wiring. That's all I'm really concerned about. I think it looks sweet and am interested in HID lighting as well so this would be perfect.

Wow...thanks for putting up this thread..i've just spent the last few hours trying to figure out what the guy on sportbikes.net did to fit these projectors into his FZ6..and really...if anyone else read it they would never even consider doing just a simple HID conversion without using a projector.

Thanks Scorphonic. I wrote an entire DIY guide for these. It's incredibly time consuming to make them, but well worth the effort in my opinion.

In regards to the outer scratches, you would want to use your current headlight for the outer housing and only the inner parts of my headlights for the projectors. The clear front shell has some superficial scratches on it. It looks as though two of the mounting tabs to the fairing stay have been broken, but the tabs connecting the headlight to the fairing are all intact.

The point of this sale is not to merely swap my headlight with yours. It is for those who want projectors that can't or don't want to do the time/effort to fabricate the brackets needed inside the headlight. I've done the hard part for you.

All you have to do is open up both headlights, undo 3 bolts, swap the pieces, and close the headlight. It's really that easy!:thumbup:


EDIT: I forgot to answer the wiring question. I've already solved the complicated parts of this. You have one plug that hooks up to your stock bulb socket. You also have a red and black that go to the battery. Other than that, all you have to do is hook up the bulb and you are done. Easy, right?
