Front fork reflectors - removed them and have a question

After replacing my brake lines I decided to forego the yellow reflectors on my forks. The reflector brackets are held on with the same bolts that fasten the caliper to the fork. Now that the reflectors are off, I realized that the reflector mount may have been acting as a "washer" between the bolt head and the caliper housing. Should I add a new washer to each of the bolts, or is it not necessary?

I don't think it will be a problem except for taking the paint off the forks.
A washer would be a good idea if you can find one close to the thickness of the reflector mounting bracket or just take the reflector off and use the bracket, makes it easier to put the bolts back in.

Don't laugh, but I actually twisted my reflectors off lol, They just snapped on both sides very clean break. It was kind of silly, but it worked.

Don't overwork the problem, the paint under the bolt may be rubbed off but who cares? When you sell the bike put the reflectors back on and it will cover any paint missing. I don't agree with the owner who just twisted them off, no sense mutilating the part. If you are going to remove parts from the bike I figure you should at least do it right. I took my rear and front reflectors off and it took all of 30 minutes to use a Phillips screwdriver on the rears, and a socket wrench to remove them from the brake caliber holder. I put them aside in a safe place and when I eventually sell the bike I will put them back on and make it as complete as possible.
