First post and notes on a couple of mods

Hello, picked up my 08 FZ6 a couple of weeks ago and its brilliant. The only real issue I had was the levers. So they have been swapped for Pazzo's, and the difference is well worth the money. Fantastic.

I did feel there was a bit too much high frequency vibes coming through the bars and after a quick search on here for info, bought some Thunderace bar ends - nearly twice as heavy and yes they do work. The vibes are only slightly less, but the vibrations are at a much lower frequency which is much nicer. Less tingle. For not much cash, worth doing I think.

BTW I am averaging 55mpg (UK) and its giving me 170 miles till the reserve countdown comes on.

I put Grip Puppies on mine (foam sleeves that just slide on over the grips, $14.99 from a California motorcycle dealer here in the U.S.) and they made a very big difference in the hand grip buzz.

Pro Grip #714 gel grips were a big improvement on mine ($8). Took the opportunity to add grip heaters while making the swap.

nice choice on the Pazzo's, they are very high on my list, maybe next. take a look into the grip puppies and heated grips as well, install is a snap and they make a huge difference with vibes and make the chilly night rides a ton better with the heat
