Filtering - just got a fine

So... back on topic ;)

Filtering gets me to the city in 20 minutes in the morning's, instead of 40 minutes to an hour in the Car!

This is one of the reasons cager's hate us! They are Jealous!

Just got my new bike against the express wishes of my dear ol' mother as I was replacing my broken ZZR (RIP - damn you white paint and rain!). She actually offered me $5k to get a little hyundai or something. Reasons I declined (still took the $5k though lol) in favour of another bike:

- Cost. Ongoing and upfront
- Fun (I know, not something that would convince your mother but still...)
- Time. Trip to work: Public transport = up to 2 hours, Car = 1 hour, Bike = 30 minutes.

That's an extra hour!

I think they should outlaw commuters in cars. If everyone had a bike there wouldn't be a problem with filtering any more.

the amount of single passenger cars over here is quite upsetting. When i got hit a few months back 5 ugly chicks in their car by themselves where involved!

Carpooling should be considered on all 3 lane roads into the city.

Guess we're getting way off track here but I've just moved from Sydney to Brisbane, having lived in London and travelled a fair bit everywhere else. Brisbane has the WORST traffic anywhere (caveat - Not been to Malaysia or Singapore or New York or Lunar Base Alpha).

They NEED to:
  • Get rid of level crossings - trains and roads don't mix
  • Have permanent T3 lanes everywhere
  • Get rid of all private 4-wheelers in the CBD
  • Finish off that public transport infrastructure (busways, trains)

Permit or special licence only such as Light Truck.

Make it more expensive for them.
Obviously if they can buy a 4x4 for 45-80 grand they can afford a little more for the luxury and maybe learn how to drive them properly instead of using it as a way to be "safe" because they don't know how to drive.
Would help pay to fix the roads and public transport infrastructure.

Tough break man. Makes you wonder though where that kind of thing stops. Don't piss off a copper because it looks like they can frame you for murder!

Man, that just sucks JayJay.

I'm inclined to agree with Mikey, just got a bad cop on the wrong day. I'm guessing the cops just wanna show everyone who's boss with the Rebel's Protest run this weekend.

Should have seen all the cops following the bikies through the city this arvo... bus loads of them.

Sorry you got done mate... bloody revenue raising :spank:

:)

+1 on the revenue raising. But JayJay we are unfortunately going to have to levy another $200.00 fine on you for that frisky avatar!
