Can the demon universal fairing be used on the street? I know its not DOT approved but every site has it. Is there any other universal front headlight fairings that dont cost out the a**?

i don't think any of the universals are DOT approved because they are not factory equipment.
but will i get pulled over or in trouble for using it on the street? i really like the look of this but cannot afford to get in trouble because I'm military:Sport:

I doubt that you would get in trouble unless they were looking for something to get you for, and FWIW my old roommate was military and every time he got pulled over he would flash his military ID and would not even get a ticket. He even got pulled over for 40MP/H over the limit...

I could give a rats a$$ what DOT says is legal or not. If it's something I want for my bike, it's going on! :Flip: What DOT thinks or says is not even a consideration.
Chances of getting a ticket or that a cop would even know what fairings are "legal" is slim to none....let alone even knowing what a fairing is....

The law says headlight, tail light with working brake light and a plate light. Signals here are still optional but hand signals are acceptable. No mention of any specific size, brightness, etc.... some of what the Customs run here for electrical is questionable at best and a far cry from this example.

+1 whilst doing a training course at NAS Jacksonville with several other foreign nationals we were issued with US military ID cards (as it was a long course). One of the guys was Norwegian and he was forever getting stopped for speeding, but he only had to flash his ID and he would get off with a warning.
They finally caught up with him after being stopped 3 times by the same cop, so he went to court, and he was let off with a warning, the Judge said this was only because he worked by the military.
