Hey all,

while replacing my cowling from my spill earlier in June, I decided to buy a new crankcase cover, my other one had a little ding in it when I bought it.

So this weekend I got all my stuff, is there anything I need to know about taking off the crankcase cover? I just want to make sure I don't have a bunch of stuff fall out that's not supposed to.

Hopefully the process is uncrews, take off, put on screw on.

Thanks all.

Happy 4th to you Americans!

P.S. And why I'm thinking about it, is it unusual that only my right headlight goes to brights? I might need to check the lighting wiring.

Your headlights are supposed to do that. The left side is a single filament bulb while the right side is a double. Search the mods section, there is a mod about converting you headlight to a double headlight. I did mine, look alot better. Really easy to do also.

I replaced mine and didn't have any issues. There are two phillips screws inside that hold a sensor in place that required a lot of elbow grease. Also I had a hell of a time getting the plastic screw cap off.
