I have seen Clear Bra film installed on cars. Basically it's an invisible clear film protecting the paint surface of the vehicle.

Anyone here purchased/installed the FZ6 kit? I'm thinking of buying some film to protect the rear end and bars against the paint rubbing off from tail (soft) bag usage. What's your opinion on this?

+1 I’m considering doing the same, would like to do part of the tank and the rear grab rails, plus the painted section above the tail light. Will post once I’ve consulted the supplier...

This is a picture of the 3M 8mil clear film used on most automotive clear bra applications. I had some around from a previous project and cut my own pattern out for the FZ tank. The leading edges are barely noticeable and the film is practically invisible unless one looks for it. It protects, cleans and polishes up nicely blending in with the bikes paint.

do you know if that can be put on the plastic fairings and headlight in the front?

I do lot of back road riding and always have dead bugs on my front end, i was looking at different kits to protect the front end headlight, fairing and fender.

there is a kit for $89.95 here

I went the tank slapper route. Works great! I haven't had any problems with mine, and from the looks of it, it's saved a couple scratches on my tank.

I wish I would have done my grab rails and that upper tail section when I bought my bike. I've got a bunch of scuffs and light scratches on both!
