So, my (white) boots are pretty dirty. I never realized how much road grime (and possibly engine/chain oil) flew around near my feet. As a result, my boots are getting darker and im wondering how i can clean them effectively without damaging them.

Thoughts?

I've had good success using brake cleaner on the spots (oil, grease, etc.), then cleaning with Lexol saddle soap and finishing with Lexol conditioner. Test the brake cleaner before using as it could remove the color or dye as well. Vanson makes a pretty good leather cleaner as well.
