I agree, the '87 is my favorite race bike. If I had big enough garage and a big enough wallet I'd love to collect older race bikes.

I totally digress here. A professor of mine really like my GS1100 and invited me to his house to look at his motorcycle collection. He restored two Indian Chiefs, a Norton Commando and a Ducati Diana in race trim. They were so clean you could eat off of them. For the Indians he made foam storage blocks that fitted over the bikes. The Duc he kept in his living room. He rode a nice CB750F for his everyday bike.

there is something about the way they made the fairings that appeals to me. My Dad rides/rode a 1968 Harley FLH electra Glide for years and everytime he sees my bike he just shakes his head in disgust.......makes me smile every time!

To me that bike is ugly as they get but to each his/her own I guess.

I only hope it doesn't become a trend.

this is what a real race bike should look like! I took a picture of this in the Dominican Republic. It hard to believe, but these bike can handle up to 5 people on them at once, and thats no lie, i seen it with my own eye. Now that is performance.:thumbup:
