The Buell XB12s, the one I demo'd at the conference, was by far the best handling bike I got to ride and when I got off it, my first thought was it was a blast.....but it vibrated a lot at idle.
Now the one that John rode the 1125R!!!! Well let's just say now that we're home...he's been on Craig's List a lot!

I knew this would wake some of you up HA!

Yeah, they have great suspension.

Damned shame about the rest of the bike.

:rof: what's wrong with the rest of the bike?

BTW, I see more posts about reliability issues on this FZ6 forum compared to the Buell XB forum... just saying :D

It's definitely a fun canyon carver, which is what I bought it for!

Yeah don't you love the v-twin rumble at idle? As long as there's no vibs while moving I don't care :)

Yeah I rode the 1125R and the v-twin Rotax is awesome... Not a bike I'd buy for the streets/canyons, but definitely very powerful

Other than the fact that it's an air cooled Sportster motor?

There's is the problem that the XB-12 is a short, ugly troll of a motorcycle.

But that's easily fixed.

See, it looks much better now.

What's wrong with old push-rod air cooled v-twin engines?

Ahh, so you just meant that you personally don't like the look... that I can understand, it's "special" :)

Nothing at all. My dad's old tractor had one of those and it was great.

By special, do you mean retarded?

Short motorcycles ride the short bus. ;)

lol it might be old, but my "tractor" engine has more HP then your liquid cooled state of the art modern engine, twice the torque, self-adjusting valves (as in no maintenance ever), no buzzyness @ 7k rpms, and all that with the same mileage ballpark numbers...

So, hmm, who's riding the tractor now? :D

Short motorcycles do ride the shortbus :), but they also handle better, and are easier to flick around... of course it won't be as stable as on the FZ at speeds above 120mph... but for my type of riding, that's no problem!

oh and me dad's stronger than your dad btw...

Geez Fred, who s#*t in your cheerios this morning? :)

To each his own, and IMO a v-twin sportbike is a force to be reckoned with.

I didn't have Cheerios this morning, which might be my problem.

But I'm just poking fun at Wavex because it's fun to poke fun at Wavex.

Besides, I've got a K75 and I'm calling his bike slow and antique. You know what they say about people who live in glass houses.
